ANVA and the Association sign memorandum

Intermediaries, Managing General Agents and insurers share processes while processing large amounts of data to successfully conduct business. Software vendors play a crucial role in shaping the insurance supply chain. For this reason, ANVA, the Association of Insurers and the SIVI Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding Chain Optimization today.

It is the second time the Alliance and SIVI Foundation have signed such a memorandum with a software supplier within the insurance industry. "The memorandum sets out principles on how software suppliers and insurers can apply standards to make processes more efficient and exchange data better. The memorandum should be an additional impetus for lower costs and quality improvement," said Richard Weurding, general director of the Association, who signed the memorandum.

Cooperation within the chain

ANVA is a total software and support provider for the entire insurance market. The ANVA software supports efficient insurance processes, optimal business operations and sustainable customer relationships. According to Roel van Dijk, managing director of ANVA, it is important to work together more intensively as an industry in order to continue to serve customers optimally in the future. The Memorandum of Understanding Chain Optimization fits well into ANVA's strategy. "After the recent signing of the Letter of Intent - Uniform Organization of the Proxy Chain with the Verbond and the NVGA, this memorandum is another concrete step to jointly shape the cooperation within our chain. With this, ANVA not only wants to make an important contribution, but also take its responsibility."

Chain Optimization

This unique collaboration should make life easier for insurers, Managing General Agents and intermediaries. By working together with suppliers of software, services, ICT and/or data services, the access to data and the support of the chain processes will be put on the right track. That is the goal Peter Mols, director of the SIVI Foundation, also has in mind with the second memorandum. "For further chain optimization, the naming and sharing of starting points is essential. The fact that ANVA, as a leading supplier, is going along with this is an important step for the sector."

Rules of the game clear

In practice, insurers still have to make their own agreements with data and software vendors, but the memorandum prevents chain parties, insurers, Managing General Agents and intermediaries from having to consider general principles individually.
