As of today, ANVA is officially OpenID certified for its ANVA ID solution based on the OpenID Connect protocol. ANVA ID is the functionality to log in and establish an identity when using the cloud-based platform ANVA Hub.
OpenID Connect is an open standard authentication protocol based on the OAuth 2.0 specifications. Through standardized flows based on REST/JSON messaging, it enables easy integrations with own and external applications. In doing so, ANVA ID acts as identity provider (OIDC IdP) and applications such as ANVA Hub and other external applications as relying party (OIDC RP). Among other things, ANVA ID enables single sign-on in ANVA's application landscape. The certification demonstrates that such relying parties are assured of proper operation with ANVA ID.

Now that ANVA ID has been demonstrated to meet the OpenID Connect standard, ANVA will proceed to phase out the old login method on ANVA Hub. This is because the old login method is not based on a public standard, making interoperability with other applications not easily possible. Also, the old login method no longer meets ANVA's highest security requirements for its software.
Through various channels, ANVA will soon provide information about the transition from the old login method to ANVA ID. The login method based on ANVA ID is already in full use by ANVA itself and by some partners and third parties.
Stephan Barmentloo, Product owner: "With the OpenID certification, ANVA takes the next step in creating and opening up the ANVA Hub platform. The certification gives customers, partners and third parties assurance about the capabilities and quality of the platform."
