Our Developer Portal contains an overview of all APIs and connectors made available by ANVA in recent years. This allows you to connect your own or third-party applications to our software.
Linking ANVA software with various sources creates a changing IT landscape. This landscape is driven from a powerful foundation: ANVA Hub. More than 1,000 ANVA offices are now using ANVA Hub. They can use an API (Application Programming Interface) to link two applications together, allowing data to be mutually requested and modified. This also allows further automation of (existing) processes, while important data is recorded in one central location (ANVA 4/5).
Stephan Barmentloo, Product owner at ANVA, says: "In recent years we have developed a lot of APIs within ANVA and together with our partners. We have bundled these in one digital environment: the ANVA Developer Portal. In this online environment, developers can find both APIs and connectors, which they can then use for specific parts of our software." From authentication based on OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect, to XML interface modules for message exchange with ANVA 4/5, an API for delivering messages to the Connect P.O. Box or connecting a PBX. "Piece by piece we explain in detail what the API involves, what you can do with it, how it works, what you have to do to activate it and what the underlying parameters mean."
The various APIs allow external applications and ANVA to work together smartly, while data flows through the new ANVA Data Platform. Stephan's direct colleague Marline van Ramselaar, also product owner at ANVA, filled the portal with technical information regarding data disclosure using ODBC connectors. Marline: "To unlock (bulk) data, we use market standards within ANVA. To make these as concrete as possible, we offer a number of practical examples on the Developer Portal. Besides naming the functional possibilities, our customers find in this online environment all technical documentation, schematic data models, a comprehensive explanation and technical FAQ that is very actively maintained."
In the coming months and years, we will work towards the 'API-first' idea within ANVA and make more and more APIs and connectors available on the Developer Portal. Until then, existing connections and technical links can, in consultation with ANVA, be used by ANVA partners to further develop a partner solution. APIs are also available (subject to conditions) to ANVA customers who wish to integrate our software into their own or third-party solutions.
