Together with our colleagues and pilot clients of ANVA Hub for Advisors, we conducted a diary study last month. A diary study is exactly what the word says: for a certain period of time, you have to write out each day how you perform certain activities step by step. This particular diary study involved short daily assignments on ANVA Hub for advisors, which appeared in the inbox for two weeks. I'd love to take you through that process.
In two weeks, we had participants test all functionalities, get input for improvements and fix bugs.
The answers to the assignments serve as input for improving usability. For example, we received feedback from some functions that they were not easy to find. We could not have known this without this diary study. Much of the feedback has already been processed.
The input was also used to improve the help functionalities. If you can't figure it out, there is always a walkthrough in ANVA Hub. This walkthrough guides you through the functionalities with simple steps and explanations. In two weeks we had participants test all functionalities, got input for improvements, fixed bugs and know what is needed for a good entry on the platform for new users.
