To improve data quality in the proxy channel, we from ANVA have been involved in the Uniform Inrichting Volmachtketen (UIV) project since 2019. Indeed, since the establishment of this project, we have been working closely with industry players and customers to make it a success. But where do we actually stand?
A short while ago, Alex de Ruiter, program manager at Stichting Uniforme Inrichting Volmachtketen (SUIV), and Remco Brouwer (product owner at ANVA) looked back on already three years of UIV. During the webinar we organized, they also discussed current developments and looked ahead to what the insurance market can expect in the near future. In this article we would like to take you through the facts and tips the gentlemen gave during the webinar

Three years after the (partly due to the Corona pandemic) unruly start, all private AFD definitions are complete. The now more than 550 realized AFD definitions provide support for all selling standard society products. For business products, a small number of AFD definitions still need to be created. Two insurers are still behind in this.
Many ANVA offices have been working hard recently to make the switch to UIV. Some of them are already ready, and the rest are well on their way. Unfortunately, a few have yet to start. According to Remco, the result achieved so far would not have been possible without the commitment and dedication of the focus group. During the webinar he was happy to thank them again for the past period.
To motivate everyone to make use of the UIV screens and reports, since last summer the fees for using UIV are no longer charged. We consider the use of UIV as standard functionality and have therefore included it in ANVA Backoffice for proxy companies.
To ensure that all offices make it through the final stage, Alex and Remco tip the following:
In 2023, Alex says it is especially important that all offices (in addition to completing private as quickly as possible) also start making pace with business products." Most of the screens are ready from ANVA, so it is important to start making meters now. Do not wait too long, because this conversion for Business must be ready by December 31, 2023. Only when this is started will we also encounter any areas of concern in the software or definitions. The longer we wait, the longer it will take until we observe these findings." In addition, he says, the focus in the coming period will have to be on the efficiency of processing product definitions. Regular changes to product definitions will have to be processed faster and more conveniently in the future so that everyone can make immediate use of them.
Remco also looks ahead: "Our import functionality for residence objects is already ready, but we wish to be able to link directly to Infofolio through an API. This way we can retrieve and update live data. In addition, we want to start delivering coverage screens and standard macros. We are also curious to know what ANVA users need. What else can we do to make the setup of proxy screens easier?".
To monitor progress and developments in the market, Alex calls on offices to submit monthly reports to SUIV. "This enables us to provide the right information to our stakeholders. Besides the foundation board, the platform proxy (Verbond) and NVGA board, it is also important for ANVA to know which offices are in which process," Alex explains.
He continues: "And do you have findings on AFD definitions or manuals? Then report them via the reporting functionality of AOS, so that visibility and action can be taken from SUIV." In this way, insurers can make a quality improvement in consistency and content. "In addition, report them to ANVA's service desk," Remco adds. "We find it very important to have insight into this as well, so we can reach a solution faster." The same goes for his call to indicate what ANVA can do to promote UIV establishment.
