Money Week: Working Together to Build a Financially Healthy Netherlands

Money Week is an important event for ANVA. Not only because money and financial well-being are inextricably linked, but also because this week aligns perfectly with ANVA’s mission: to contribute to a financially fit and healthy Netherlands. That is why we support the Financially Fit Kids Foundation (FFKF).

The foundation helps children ages 10 to 18 develop financial awareness and skills through books, games, and guest lectures at schools. They do this not just for the future, but specifically for the present. The sooner children learn to manage money, the better equipped they’ll be to navigate life. FFKF founder Femke Hogema, together with ANVA’s own Daan van der Lugt and Monica Wolfs, enthusiastically explains why this initiative matters.

A small moment, a big impact

A guest lecture in 8th grade might seem like a small thing, but it has a big impact. Children ask surprising questions, think critically, and gain insights in an accessible way that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. The Financially Fit Kids Foundation aims to give children the mindset, knowledge, and skills to avoid financial problems and make their dreams come true. The book "The Journey to Wealth" by co-founder Femke Hogema also plays an important role in this.

Take action now

Money Week runs from March 23 through 27 and focuses on teaching children and young people how to make smart financial choices. After all, building financial literacy starts early. And the more children we reach together, the stronger the next generation will be. That’s exactly why now is the time to take action.
