



Already since September 2020, ANVA and EMS have been working closely together as partners. 'What many people may not expect is that the insurance world is very progressive in process automation. Yet - to maintain innovativeness - you can only do everything yourself up to a certain point. ANVA was one of the first to cleverly capitalize on this by being open to partnerships. And because all the customer information needed for claims from ANVA was also maintained in EMS, entering into a partnership was a no brainer," says Luigi.
The ANVA claims module was expanded to include the EMS Claims engine. That turned out to be a golden move! But, a gap still arose. Research revealed that not every customer seeks fully automated claims processes (STP). And in such cases, the comprehensiveness of the state-of-the-art solution is just a step too far. Yet these customers did have a need for automation of claims intake.
Ronald: 'That first moment when the damage is reported is where you, as a financial advisor, can really make a difference for your customer. The only problem is that there is often too little time to provide next-level service.' Luigi adds: 'There is a huge shortage of claims handlers. This sometimes makes it difficult to give sufficient attention to injured parties. Annoying, because there is sometimes a lot of emotion involved in reporting damage.'

Through intensive collaboration, attending client sessions of each other and juxtaposing roadmaps, the Claims Accelerator took shape. 'Speed is the most important thing when it comes to claims handling. But with 60% of all claims taking place outside office hours, this is sometimes quite difficult. Moreover, people are not always in a position to report the damage immediately, as in the case of water damage,' says Luigi. For offices that only want to professionalize this reporting process, we have separated the claim intake process from the total handling process offered by the Claimsengine.
This partial solution is the Claims Accelerator, where victims complete their claim file themselves and online. They do that via a link that you send them as an advisor or through integration on your own website. Ronald: "The insured person logs in at any time and receives a smart form with questions that are tailored precisely to the case. This makes it clear in one fell swoop what is needed. That saves a lot of phone calls back and forth!'
Whereas the basic functionality in ANVA 4/5 was aimed purely at employees, the Claims Accelerator starts with the end customer. Ronald: "The nice thing about this is that the pressure is no longer solely on the financial advisor. If after a storm, for example, many reports come in, other colleagues can help out by accepting the claims and sending out the claim forms to customers. As an advisor, you only do a final check once the file is complete.'
With the Claims Accelerator, you quickly save about 30 minutes on a file. And that is badly needed according to Luigi: 'In addition to the decrease in claims handlers, the compliance pressure is also increasing. We respond to this with our smart technology by automatically asking the insured the right questions. This makes old-fashioned 'paper checklists' redundant.' And this process will only become more efficient in the future.

Luigi continues: "AI makes it possible to work even more intuitively, but also preventively. Based on data, more and more can be completed in advance. That means time savings and more accurate estimates. Ronald adds: 'As an insurer, you will soon be able to make a proposal for compensation more easily and more accurately. And as the insured you no longer have to search for receipts from years ago.
The first ANVA customers started using the Claims Accelerator functionality as part of the Claims Engine several years ago. 'The reactions have been very positive! There was a great need for claim intake optimization. Now we can offer this to a much broader group of customers. And whether you are large or small: because of the different bundles, there is always a solution that fits the number of claims reports and the claims handling you do monthly,' Ronald concludes.
