Switching to a new core system is exciting, especially when you are the first to do so. Nevertheless, Midglas made a conscious decision to become a launch customer for ANVA 6. The first test migrations have now been successfully completed, with excellent results. Step by step, with clean data and clear agreements, Midglas and ANVA are working together to build a future-proof platform.
"Of course, I'm enthusiastic about the look, user-friendliness, and how intuitive it is to use. But the best part? That we can offer our Managing General Agents Plug&Play system." - Mario Booij, Operations Manager.

Switching for an efficient chain

As the market leader in glass insurance, staying ahead of the curve is a must for Midglas. "Of our four core values—reliable, committed, innovative, and leading—the latter two in particular require innovation and continuous technological development," says Rob Hennekam, Director of Operations and Finance at Midglas. In his view, switching is therefore a no-brainer in order to unburden the entire chain.

The right expectations

Becoming a launch customer doesn't happen overnight. It takes courage, trust, and a realistic outlook. Rob Hennekam: "It feels special to be the very first customer to take this step. At the same time, you know that with software migrations, there are always things that happen that you can't predict in advance." From the outset, it was clear that ANVA 6 was still under development. That's precisely why Midglas and ANVA clearly communicated their expectations and opted for transparency and collaboration. No false promises, but working together to build something new.

Marlène van den Bliek, Internal Services Coordinator at Midglas, has been closely involved from the start. She explains: "We are carrying out the migration with a small team. It's challenging, because our own work continues as usual. Fortunately, ANVA involved us in the process from the start. Of course, you have to invest time and provide input yourself, but ANVA takes care of everything for us where possible."

Getting started step by step

A smooth migration naturally requires thorough preparation. Marlène: "ANVA guided us through this step by step. We started by getting our data in order." With the help of the ANVA Data Monitor, we continuously check which data is already correct and where there is still work to be done. "It's great to be able to switch over with clean data right away!" she says enthusiastically.

A good plan is half the battle.

ANVA is also well prepared. Feike Leemkuil, Program Manager ANVA 6, explains: "Due to the many consolidations in the industry, we already have considerable experience with migrations. In addition, we have developed a migration plan and built our own data migration street." This means that ANVA has everything under its own control. And that means: lightning-fast switching!

Surprising results

And that preparation is paying off! The first test migrations have now been completed and, according to Feike, the results are amazingly good. "Of the total volume of all policies and financial contracts, it turned out that after the first test migration, only 5% needed to be corrected. That's really very good! With some optimization, we expect to get close to 0%!" he says proudly. In addition to experience, he believes the secret also lies in internal cooperation where you address each other formally.

Trust and mutual understanding

This communication is not only seamless internally. Rob: "Of course, it's impossible to fulfill all our wishes 100%. But everything is done in close consultation and with a great deal of mutual understanding." Mario Booij, Operations Manager at Midglas, adds: "Is something missing? Then we always hear what the reason is and when we can expect it. And that's how it is! "

Fancy ANVA 6?

Midglas has now gained its first user experiences with ANVA 6, and they have left us wanting more. Mario: "Of course, I am enthusiastic about the look, user-friendliness, and how intuitive it is to use. But the best part? That we can offer our Managing General Agents Plug&Play system. They can simply pick up our products from a kind of app store and then put them directly on the market." This Plug&Play system makes the process from product development to launch faster and more efficient.

Midglas is looking forward to ANVA 6! So, what's next? A number of test migrations will follow, so that Midglas can continue to prepare for the actual launch of ANVA 6!

Ready for the future

Working more efficiently and future-proofing operations to improve collaboration in the chain: that is why Midglas is making the switch. According to Daan van der Lugt, CCO of ANVA, this is crucial right now: "It's great to see what the intensive collaboration with Midglas is delivering for both organizations. The platform offers Midglas and then our other clients the opportunity to offer their customers the best service and balanced products. Midglas going live is an important milestone for both of us and, for ANVA, the starting signal for a major upscaling."
