ANVA starts pilot for renewed Exact Online link

To run interfaces such as Exact Online on the future ANVA Hub, we are gradually moving the underlying technology to the ANVA platform in the cloud. In the case of Exact Online, we deliberately chose not only to implement technical innovations, but at the same time to remove bottlenecks from the link.

In conversation with customers, during reviews and interviews, we came up with the changes that will ultimately ensure that this link can be used much better and more pleasantly.

Three main key points

In order to realize the original idea behind ANVA Hub (working more efficiently and especially smarter from the cloud), it is necessary to take the next step in ANVA's renewal strategy. Indeed, without this step, it is simply not possible to ensure the continuity of the Exact Online connection within the ANVA platform in the cloud.

ANVA's development team therefore focused specifically on two goals. Besides renewing and improving the communication between the ANVA system and the Exact Online platform, they also focused on improving the user-friendliness when using the link on a number of specific items. Central to this were always three key points: continuity, quality and efficiency.

"Technically, the bottlenecks were not easy steps to implement. The close cooperation between ANVA, our customers and of course also with Exact itself made it possible to implement the link as well as possible."

Jan Willem Willemsen, Analyst at ANVA

Saying goodbye to issues and bottlenecks

Connecting to the already existing ANVA architecture and technology, as well as connecting to the modern Exact Online APIs, ensures that the existing issues with tokens in the use of the link will be a thing of the past as of the new release. The same applies to issues with incompletely processed data in uploads and issues traceable to the robustness of the link. Issues with lack of insight and portability are also a thing of the past, as improved diagnostics have been built into the 2.0 release for both ANVA customers and the service desk.

Value improvement Exact Online linkage

Specifically, the new Exact Online link provides two major improvements for ANVA users, namely:

  • Data uploading and balance checking is integrated into one process so that possible discrepancies can be identified immediately;
  • Uploading data and balance checking via the ANVA batch module is facilitated, allowing the process to run automatically in the background.

The first point in particular provides a gain for ANVA users. Due to the compact period in which this process is facilitated in the new link, possible discrepancies can be detected earlier and these discrepancies can also be solved more quickly. The addition of the ANVA batch module also saves an average of 15 hours of time per month. The change from a manual to an automatic upload makes it possible for the administration process to be performed outside business hours, so that ANVA users can start again in the morning in an updated administration.

Pilot in collaboration with SVC Group

In the pilot for the updated Exact Online link, which runs from July 4 to July 18, 2022, two insurance offices and implementation partner SVC will validate whether the new link works satisfactorily and properly. After the pilot ends, any findings will be resolved so that the final release will be available to all ANVA customers in early August 2022.

In coordination and cooperation with SVC, the transition to the updated Exact Online connection can then be planned for each office. ANVA will continue to actively assist in this, with the ultimate goal of completing the phase-out of Exact Online 1.0 during 2023.
